The NBA The Home Away Totals System
I have used this system a few times and have found it to be somewhat profitable. I forget where I found this system, but I think that I read about it on the internet. This NBA betting system looks at how NBA teams play at home and how that varies to when they play on the road. For lack of a better name, I call this NBA system "The Home Away Totals System".
What we are looking for in this NBA home away system is the average of the total score in games that are played at home vs the average total score in games that are played on the road. For Example, say the LA Lakers at home have an average score of 110 and their opponent only average say 105 for a total of 215.
While on the road, the average score for the LA Lakers is 100 with their opponent averaging 90 for a total of 190. Thus, we can see that there is a 25 point difference in the total points scored when the LA Lakers play at home versus on the road.
In the NBA home away totals system we are looking for are teams that have at least a differences of 5 or more points between home and away averages. If so, then we will bet those totals accordingly. For the LA Lakers, we would look to bet the over at home and the under on the road.
This NBA home away totals system should only be used beginning the 3rd month of the season in order to have enough data. Do not use this NBA home away totals system prior to this time period since you need to see how the players, both old and new changes affect the team. Under no circumstances should you use the averages from the year prior because of player changes.
