With the college football season fast approaching, it's guys like me to start making predictions on the 2007 college football season.  This is, by the way, the best time to make lots of money also!   Thus, it's especially important to figure out which teams could be the top teams.  Here's a look at the on the teams that I suggest you place a future bet on this 2007 college football season.  There are five teams that I view as the elite teams to make bets on at this point in the year.

USC:  My number 1 choice to win the National Championship.  They are likely the most talented team in the country, they have a quarterback who should have a huge football season and they have few weaknesses.  There are a few challenges on their conference schedule, but there are also a whole lot of gift games.

Michigan:  My number 2 choice.  The offense, led by Chad Henne and Mike Hart, should be potent.   The coaching staff is relatively new.  However, the first 10 games of the season are mostly easy.  Therefore, a 10-0 standing is certainly within reach.

Florida:  My 3rd choice this 2007 college football season.  Meyer certainly knows how to get it done when it matters.  And it shouldn't take Tim Tebow long to fit into Meyer's system.  Tebow will have lots of targets on the field, and he's dangerous in his own right if he is well protected, which he will be.  However, the SEC conference is always tough!

West Virginia:  These guys are my 4th pick for the 2007 college football season.   They have many good players from both the offensive and defensive that were starters that are returning this 2007 college football season.   Non-conference games present no significant challenges.  However, the Big East could still be an impediment - they aren't likely to get the benefit of the doubt if more than two teams end up undefeated.

LSU:  This is my 5th pick for the 2007 college football season.  Compared to other teams on this list, LSU presents some value at their current price to sports bettors.  TheQB starter is still unclear at this time.  However, they have very impressive depth at running back. In addition, they have eight  defensive starters returning.  And their road schedule is very easy. The recruiting has been phenomenal.
