Poker reviews of poker rooms that accept US players.

As of October 2006 numerous real money online poker sites have announced they will not be accepting US players due to new legislation that was passed in the United States. There are still many other online poker rooms out there who will be happy to accomodate people from the USA.

If you're from the USA you'll want to ensure that you are playing at a poker site accepting US players.

USA friendly online poker rooms are, at the moment, pretty hard to find right now.  As online poker rooms continue to leave the US market, many sites are taking advantage of this and have begun to gladly accept US poker players.

One of my main rules for playing at an online poker site, is to play at rooms that are very safe, secure and have quick payouts.  Thus, below are a few of the online poker rooms that I feel I can recommend.  Not many people like waiting on their money to arrive, and neither do I! 

One of my other rules is to play at online poker rooms that have good cash games, tournaments and great customer service.  In my opinion, there are only a few poker sites that fit into this category.  Most of the sites I recommend have been around for a few years, and they are very safe to play on.  So without further delay here are my favorite US friendly poker sites along with a review of the site.

Bodog Poker - #1 online poker site  (REVIEW)

Bodog has been in the online gaming business for over 10 years, and is a well trusted name in poker.  Bodog's poker tournaments and cash games are probably the easiest on the net.  Bodog attracts many bad poker players from their casino and sportsbook, which bodes well for those of us that play poker. Carbon Poker - #2 online poker site   (REVIEW)

Carbon Poker is a newer poker site that is catering to US players right now.  They have an awesome selection of cash games, which range from the micro limits to higher limits.  I think the cash games on Carbon are very juicy, and most cash game players will do very well here.   Check out Carbon Poker now!

Poker.com - #3 online poker site   (REVIEW)

Poker.com's decision to continue service to US players, being from the US, has helped me to bump them up a few notchs in my poker room ranking. Because of their heavy promotion, this site is attracting mostly new and inexperienced players to the tables. Thus, the competition is quite weak on this site.  However, in my opinion, they offer the most and best freeroll tournaments.  Check out Poker.com now!

Americas Cardroom - #4 online poker room   (REVIEW)

This site is now owned by BookMaker.  Americas Cardroom is unusual in many ways, it has great, original design and some exciting new offers. The competition is soft, around 100 players are regularly online.  You will not find many aggressive poker pros at this poker room.
Americas Cardroom is free. It is fast and smooth. The graphics are great, as it is simple and does not contain any complex Java elements. Even during the peak hours everything works fine, that means, in my opinion, that the program is superb.  Check out Americas Cardroom now!

PokerStars - #5 online poker site  (REVIEW)

Some time ago their competitors were more popular in the market. But as the Unlawful Internet Gambling Bill was passed through the US senate, PokerStars has regained its popularity and surpassed its competition to become the World's largest poker site. As it was already stated, lots of people play here for seats to the WSOP. 
Biggest and one of my favorite online poker rooms. Pokerstars has a huge player database, various promotions. Best player support though only email is available. Biggest means most of the players like it here, huge tournaments, fast payouts, customizable software, FPP shop,etc.  Check out PokerStars now!

Full Tilt Poker - #6 online poker site   (REVIEW)

Golden Tiger Poker - #7 online poker site   (REVIEW)
